On behalf of TIE (Technology and Innovation in Education), I invite you to join us as an exhibitor for the 2008 TIE Conference at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, Sioux Falls, SD, April 6 - 8, 2008.
TIE’s twenty-second regional conference for educators, TIE 2008 - Together in Excellence, is the largest event South Dakota holds with the specific focus of presenting teaching materials, instructional practices, and technology applications to school administrators, teachers, computer coordinators, librarians, and media specialists. In addition to the conference sessions, the event will include over 85 exhibitors. It will be an excellent opportunity to display your products to over 1,500 educators from across South Dakota and neighboring states.
Conference participants will be interested in state-of-the-art equipment and products applicable for managing schools or providing instruction. The breakdown on conference participants generally follows this pattern – teachers 66%; administrators 13%; technology coordinators 12%; students 7%; and others 2%.
Wireless Internet will be available for all exhibitors at no additional cost.
Barcode Scanners may be reserved making it easy to have the name and address of each of the contacts you make at the conference. Participant name badges will include barcoded contact information. The scanners must be attached to a computer via USB; computers will not be provided — please bring your own. Collected contact information will be delivered in a comma separated (CSV) format. There will be 40 barcode scanners available on a first-come-first-served basis at no additional cost. They may be reserved when you register online – 1 per registration.
To encourage exhibit visitation, the conference offers you the option of participating in a “stamping/punching” procedure at no cost. A special prize form will be provided to conference participants that they complete by visiting the exhibits, and request the form be stamped/punched by the exhibitor. Participating exhibitors will be issued stamps/punches at the conference for this purpose. Upon completion of the prize form, participants become eligible for prizes which will be given out during the Festival of Technology on Monday from 3-5 in the exhibit hall.
This procedure is useful for those exhibitors who would like visits by all conference participants. Those who are marketing to select groups of individuals may not find the procedure useful for their purposes. If you would like to participate, indicate so when registering.
